Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American designer and author who has won numerous awards for her works. She has been a vocal advocate for the rights of animals. Ali MacGraw is famous for her roles in films like Love Story, Goodbye Columbus and The Getaway. Growing up in an artistic family living in New York she wished to be a part of the arts. When she was an assistant to photographers then she turned her attention to modeling and acting. She received her Golden Globe Award, for the most promising debutant. MacGraw's 1970 film Love Story was an international smash, and earned the actress the Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. Within just three short films she was the highest-rated female box-office star across the globe. Her handprints and autograph were engraved at Grauman's Chinese Theater. Other films she has appeared in are The Getaway Convoy Players as in the mini-series on TV The Winds of War. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography was published. MacGraw was divorced three times.
